Presentation Description

One of the challenges that communities face, is that ‘smart’ infrastructure components now require expertise to evaluate their infrastructure investment — from a technology perspective.  Lexcom is working with progressive community leaders at how technology and “internet of everything” plays into their strategy, budget and asset management.

Presenter Bio (Regina Presenter)

Ron Holtby has over 23 years of Information Technology technical and project management experience. Ron has worked for large corporations such as CIBC, IBM Global Services, EDS Systemhouse, Compaq/HP and as IT Manager at Prairie Valley School Division. He has been employed as a consultant for a variety of Saskatchewan companies such as SaskPower, SaskTel, Bayer Cropscience, Farm Credit Canada (FCC), ISC and Social Services. Ron’s IT background includes working as an IT Manager, Project Manager, Desktop Architect, Network Analyst, Server Lead and more recently Security and IT Audit compliance. Ron currently holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Regina (1993). He is also a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and is ITIL certified and a member of the Project Management Institute.  Ron is currently the Manager of Security, Audit and Compliance and co-lead on Smart Instructure Innovations for Saskatchewan Municipalities at Lexcom Systems Group.  More recently Ron has been involved in rolling out Aruba Wireless Access Points including Guest and Secure WiFi for the City of Regina.

 

Presenter Bio (Saskatoon Presenter)

Mr. Darcy L McLane is a certified Project Manager and has academics in Administration and Organizational Development.  He is the Vice President of Business Development with Lexcom Systems Group where he is an analytical and unified decision-maker where accountability, project management and controls are key to his principle-centered leadership.  Darcy is the Past President of the Canadian Institute of Management, a founding member of PMI-Saskatchewan and the Past Finance Chair of the University of Regina Alumni Association.
